School Starts Soon

Well, it's come time nearly for me to begin the somewhat frightening journey that is a bachelors degree, particularly one in the information systems area. U of M begins it's classes September 7th. Lets see if I can keep up, put or shut up.

All that aside, I'm wondering how I'm gonna swing the gas budget to get down there, hopefully I can use some of the loan monies to off set some of that cost and the cost of maintenance. This all being whilst I work three days a week.

Of to Toledo, Work Tomorrow

After coming to the sobering realization that I may not see them for several months when school starts, I decided to go see the little ones down in Toledo today. Work starts anew tomorrow, not looking forward to it, it always is a reminder of life being put on hold. But that's what the depression is like, economically, it puts everyone's life on hold.


In two weeks I begin the quest to get my bachelors, an odyssey that will last approximately four years. Hopefully by that time the job market will be more friendly to new grads than now. Until then I simply wait in restfully respite.

Of to the showers now for day to start anew.

Feeling kinda crappy

Not sure what the issue is but I just feel not 100% percent, like something's off. I figure it's because of the drive yesterday, coming back from Missouri I think I logged 12.5 hours in the car by the time I left about 10:30 am eastern time and got home about 11 pm.

I think my muscles are tensed and my body is just a little outta whack. Plus I have the strangest feeling that I gained a bunch of weight. Hmm.. maybe it's time to start hoofing it a bit everyday.

Another good day

Today went pretty well, lots of time spent with friends otherwise not spent. Looking forward to some Social Theory reading. Got a very unexpected announcement today. Good stuff, shocking, but good.

It just proves life continues in constant change.

A blog to start, whilst traveling about the country side...

Well, I've been wondering if I should start one of these. I used to have a blog on Myspace, but I got rid of the account due to the simple fact that I don't really actively use it.

It's been awhile since I've actively blogged, my blogs tend not to be positive in nature and I try to rectify that from time to time.

I had a variety of good things happen today:

• Made some interesting t-shirts, one for a friend and one for me, that properly expressed a giving political opinion
• Read some dumbfounding philosophy and managed to understand most of it!
• Drank some wicked chai
• Ate, drank, and was merry with long unseen friends

I got to Columbia, Missouri, yesterday evening and I'm really looking forward to the rest of the week. Not sure what else to do next but it just seems the most pleasant thing to simply hang about and talk with my very intelligent friends.

Lots of interesting political dilemmas to muse on, it's definitely pushed my mindset more to the left than I think I was before. Never before have I come to see our political system as so completely broken that it may be beyond repair.

 
Politics isn't only thing talked about but it always seems to come back to that, that and the confluence of society with economy and government/business. Finally gender relations and things of that nature tend to be touched upon. It's all well and good.

Aside from my romance issues I feel pretty good and well set right now.

EDIT: Oh! and I forgot this picture, as I was reading I stopped at a great local coffee shop and picked up the tastiest (and most expense) iced chai I've ever had!
