So many women I see today, so many beautiful women, so many women that don't think they are beautiful. A woman's self image, body image, self-esteem, self worth is so key to all of this.
Yet our society, our very state, makes as many attempts as possible to make feel anything but objectively beautiful, it is of this we get such abrogations as anorexia, bulimia, cutting, cosmetic surgery and the list goes on. All of these issues attached tot eh temple that is capitalist exploitation. It sickens and saddens me, not to say I don't think it victimizes men any less. Now many women would think this is contradictory in what I'm saying but men can be fed to the beast that is capitalism much in the same way.
Simply by being taught to say when they a bright, wonderful, and intelligent woman: I am not worthy.
